BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Board function: The sole function of the Montana Youth Rugby Union Board is to govern — setting the mission, vision, and strategic direction, ensuring resources and accountability, and safeguarding the organization, while leaving day-to-day operations to staff and volunteers. The board’s job is to steer the boat, not row it. 

Board makeup: We have four classes of board members that we are looking for: Rugby (help us stay grounded in the sport), Education (help us work with the schools and administrators), Athletics (help us work with the coaches and other sports), Business (help the financial and strategic health of the organization). The board is comprised of a maximum of one rugby representative with the remaining board members made up of individuals that can help us achieve our mission - to obtain varsity status in Montana. 

Joining the board: We would strongly prefer Board members who do not have children currently playing in MYRU competitions due to the potential conflict of interest. For those interested in joining the board, the MYRU Board has the capacity for five members, with the addition of potential board members being added in six month increments. Board terms are for three years, with the ability to roll over into another term. For those interested in applying to the board, please complete the google form below.
